D’Artacan and Buckingham set off in hot pursuit of Milady as she recrosses the Channel. In the first engagement Milady cuts down their sails, but with some timely help from a group of sharks, they catch up with her again and recover the necklace. The Three Muskehounds make sure that D’Artacan does not fall into the hands of Richelieu’s men, and the necklace is duly delivered to the Queen minutes before the ball begins. Buckingham recounts the whole story of Richelieu’s treasonable meddling to the KING, who rewards D’Artacan by short-listing him for the next entry into the MuskehoundS.
