Professor Lidenbrock waits for the clouds to clear so he can see which of the three peaks casts its shadow and it is the Scartaris peak which will show them the entrance. Suddenly, one of the peasants turns up with Romy’s scarf bearing a message: Willy Fog must return to London if he wishes to save his wife’s life. Willy Fog hesitates. The sun comes out and Hans spots the hide out where Romy and Tico are being held. The shadow of the Scartaris peak falls on the central plug. Willy Fog, helped by Hans, sends Transfer packing. Lidenbrock gets impatient, a very exciting trip is in store but he needs Willy Fog’s help and support. Rigodon insists and Willy Fog accepts that Romy and Tico join the expedition.
