Richelieu, incensed by his subodinate’s failures, turns to Milady in a bid to prevent the meeting between the Queen and Buckingham. Milady uses her charms to hypnotise D’Artacan, and then orders him to kill the Queen. D’Artacan gains access to the Queen’s chamber just as Juliet is telling her of her failed mission. Juliet saves the Queen from D’Artacan’s attempt on her life. Meanwhile, Richelieu has warned the KING that the Queen’s life is in danger. When the KING and his men arrive, however, having been convinced by Juliet that D’Artacan must have been under influence of some evil spell.
